Our Story

It started, as many good things do, with a family WhatsApp chat.

For as long as anyone can remember, Carlos has been the one sending the recommendations — a leather bag worth saving up for, a cream that actually works, a record you need to hear. Not as a habit he developed, but as something he simply couldn't help doing. When he found something worth sharing, he shared it.

carlosfaria is that instinct, turned into a store.

We are what we consume.

That phrase sits at the heart of everything here. It applies to what we put on our skin, what we listen to, what we carry with us, and what we bring into our homes. The things we choose to keep close become part of us — shaping how we feel, how we move through the world, and how our nervous systems settle at the end of a long day.

We don't believe in quick fixes or throwaway products. We believe in things that last.

How we choose

Every product in this store was chosen by the same standard: would we recommend it to someone we love?

We favour raw, natural materials wherever possible — products closer to the earth, with fewer steps between source and skin. We look for makers who understand that quality is a form of respect: for the person using the product, and for the craft itself.

Our leather goods are built to age well. Our dermo-cosmetics are formulated with skin health at their core — not aesthetics at the expense of it. Our culture selections — vinyl, CDs, books — are chosen because music and story are not luxuries. They are part of how we regulate, rest, and remember who we are.

A thread through everything

It might seem like an unusual combination: leather, skincare, and music. But they share something.

They all ask you to slow down. They reward patience. A well-made leather good softens and moulds with time. A skincare routine only works if you're consistent. A record asks you to sit with it, side one and then side two.

These are not impulse purchases. They are choices — and they accumulate, quietly, into a way of living.

That is what bem estar means. Not wellness as a trend. Wellbeing as a practice.

carlosfaria is a family project, built on the belief that what we surround ourselves with matters deeply. We're glad you're here.
